The first half of 2010 has demonstrated that the EMEA hotel investment market is starting to pick up, with growth expected to accelerate even more in the second half of 2010 according to Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels. Transaction volume rose marginally to €1.6bn at the end of H1 2010, representing a 6% year on year increase.

Aldar Properties PJSC, Abu Dhabi's property development investment and management company, today announced its financial results for the six month period ended 30 June 2010. Revenue for the period was Dhs427.0m compared to Dhs1,068.1m for the corresponding period last year. The decrease was principally due to lower property sales recognised. However, recurring revenues from operating businesses are showing continuous growth as these areas of the company mature.
