It’s the time of year for parties and what better way to have started the festive celebrations by getting dressed up in red Santa suits, warm mulled wine in hand while dancing to Christmas music. Declan and his band got everyone into the spirit of the seaon and it wasn’t long before he had everyone up dancing and jigging to the sounds of his fine tunes. As the evening went on, there was anything from doing the Jig to Rock and Roll and even one brave lady was dancing the the Russian hoola to an Irish tune. God was she fit!

People were encouraged to participate in the raffle as the grand prize was a free flight on Emirates Airlines to any destination around the world. Congratulations go to the prize winner, Eamonn Duignan,w ho has told us that he plans to go to Rio for the carnival. Lucky him!The highlight of the evening was hearing Donal sing Spancil Hill joined by his backing group, the Dubai Celts. The music and dancing continued into the wee small hours and as usual the Irish didn’t let the side down. Rumour has it that the party was to continue the next day in Waxies O’Connors or at least to go there and get the cure……….
